It seems according to Wiselite’s web site they are “restructuring”.
So are they done building firearms altogether or are they going to just build for direct sales or what? Anyone know the real story as to whats going with them (no guessing or theories just facts please). Will there be anymore M53‘s, Sterlings, PPsh41's etc. from them? I don't see their reps posting anymore either....just wondering whats the real scoop.

Last I heard was they weren't 'mass producing' them anymore.

They were making 53's per order...you buy your own kit, 42 or 53, and send it to them and they will do the work for you.

Wiselite is no longer contractring with the big name firms. That being said, upon restructuring, they will be accepting orders for builds. Stay tuned to their website for updates as to when this might happen, or watch for updates here. The phone # is as always 940 433 8013. Gordie K will be back in the shop after KCR to answer any questions on custom builds. I encourge any and all to call if you want the best custom build done, either Tony and CO. or Pirate Guns.

It is down, I'm not sure when it will be back up again. I switched careers back in Dec. and have not been paying much attention to the firearms business.

Tim, life is what it is. I'm pushing crews for Calvary Restoration out of Brownsville KY.I'm in the office, doing sales and in the feild. I'm lucky to have/find this job, its a family owned christian based company that treats valued employees very well. I started in the building trades in '76, retired in '97, was Building Inspector for the Town of Evans from '98 to '03, all the while running Angola Armory till last December when I left Cole Distriubiting to work for Calvary full time. I need to stay busy, Calvary does that for me, the surplus parts business has fallen off, there is VERY little to buy overseas, the WWII parts in bulk buys are gone, all bought out or whats little left, at retail prices. Thats just a simple answer, I could go on and on about whats going on overseas. So there you have it, I still have an interest, but my focus has changed as to how I earn a decent living.
Still got the birds, 20 hens a layin' every day, four roosters ( two too many) keepin' them active.

last wed their site was down now its back up but no update had been trying to buy parts for my 53 .
i dont have any problems with mine but it would be nice to know if they are staying around.

This is a response below from the Sales Manager James Bryant at the end of March 2010. I was asking about the status of M53's at that time as it is when the "good" kits dried up. As of a week ago J & G was out and only last Sunday got them back in. Just my luck as I got the last one from Atlantic for $169 more, 2 days before J & G restocked, although now I am wondering as Altantic still has it listed for sale on their site. My local FFL guy told me when he called Century last week that they wanted $2500 for what they had left. I dont know if that means they are all gone or if they gave him a crap price as he does not buy in bulk. I dont know if J & G has the last of them or if there are still more floating around. But J & G's are $1999 still.


"We've manufactured something in the neighborhood of 1500 of them as of now. There are still quite a few out on the market to be purchased.
Right now it's kind of hard to find good kits, but we have no intention of discontinuing our production of them at this time. As long as we have
orders for them, we will continue to manufacture them, and so far demand still seems to be pretty consistent

Even if you should not be able to get one manufactured by us on your kit, you should still be able to find them on the market for a while to come as we've man ufactured so many. Century distributes them to the various gun shops out there, so if you can't find one at your local dealers store, they can most likely get one ordered from Century."

I really hope that Wise Lite can get back to building customer kits.

James is a great guy to deal with and has always been helpful.
