Please tell me the site has not changed again

Help ! someone tell me this site has not changed again & its just my wackey new computor as It looks like Crap

Sorry Rocco! I am having trouble getting used to it.There should be a 'View new posts' tab on every page,instead of having to go back to the home page each time.And the profile pictures are on the wrong side-I have a piece of black tape I use to cover the left side,now DA is on the right!I am going to my user control panel and see if I can get the old one back! ---bil

Well I don't like it.......change it back or give us the ability to change it back for viewing on our screens.

It may be fun for some.......but the older that you get, the less fun "change" is.......and if it isn't "fun", we come here less.

Something that you can do to help.. With some of the colors like red on black it's really hard to see. So what I do is to run my mouse over and highlight everything and that way you can read the text that was hidden before.

On seeing things better -- The area that I was talking about is the time and date of the post and some of the screen on new right side.... For me to see it on my computer screen I hold down my mouse button and roll over the area then I can see date stamping and a few other things..
Hope that you can change the color..

One comment on the new format:

Bring back the OLD FORMAT please. The new one has LESS SPACE for text for the messages and attached pictures, is FLIPPED HORIZONTALLY so it's now confusing to us regular users, and HAS BUGS like the "picture not found rectangle with the red X" superimposed on the MG42 logo at the top of the screen. Plus, It takes a while to find the "view new posts" button. That's annoying. Also, when you read your PM's, the test is light gray over white background... poor choice of colors and hard to read. YOU try reading your mail like this.

Some of the changes I like, but it's NOT DONE YET.

Can we at least change the ID back to the left side again? I keep wanting to read it like Chinese...

But then again; I'm glad it IS here. I guess I must have tried to log on while it was changing over a while ago, and it was DOA... Much like when BelftfedShooters or 1919a4.com goes down; I started getting that sinking feeling.

One other question; with this new software, can we finally go back and edit our own posts now?

*edit: YEAH!!! WE CAN!!! OK; I am growing fonder of this new version. But I'd still love to see the ID bar back on the left where it "belongs".

Another .02 worth, On the main page the icons that show wether forum has new posts or not, white for "no new posts" and light grey for "new posts" . Not enough contrast for my tired eyes. Just constructive critisism. LOVE the site!!

You could edit your posts on the old site,that feature was added last month.As for this look,go to your user control panel,you can change the look,only one other choice.Everything is in a lighter color,wider format,and the profile/picture is on the left again.Better,but still not as good as the old one.I hate to be critical after all the work done to change things.I would still like a link to 'new posts' on all pages. ---bil

As a regular user I appreciate this repository, forum, and those that make it work; I know from dabbling with websites the work that goes into changing them around. Whatever Salt chooses, I will adapt.

I think salt said something to do with updating the system, and that current format is no longer supported. Not quite sure if cosmetic change was necessary... Salt, any input on the subject? It is possible, the old style wasn't supported, or maybe salt just wanted change?
