Thank you! This also shows how the barrel will only go in one way,and the importance of getting the bearing installed in the correct position. ---bil

on this pic (thanks to photoshop) we can see a first patent barrel in a standart barrel bearing
and on this one you can imagine kow was a early pattent barrel bearing....

or perhaps like that...

Dumb question, but that is a top to bottom view? The machined away area is to allow the barrel to pivet outwards to the right, to remove the barrel?

Hi
I found a 1st model barrel bearing (only fits with the 1st model barrel)
the normal pattent is on the left, the early one is on the right
