i think that it is best to schedule a build party near and around the time of a large event like Knob Creek since many members here attend it an other events. If a member in Kentucky or some state close was willing to host it. And that applies to other major events, like regional shows and reenactments.

Re: build party
not to sound like a 42 snob , but i don't think build parties are practical like they are with a 1919 or an AK . they take more time and a higher level of skill and patience .

Re: build party
Definately. Its going to be a build week or more, not a single day.
Re: build party
I will host a get together in the harrisburg pa. area, if there is any interest. There probably won't be any building taking place, but it would be a good place to compare notes and show off your stuff. Maybe some shooting.
Re: build party
I would be interested in joining. I live in the Martinsburg, WV area and dont have a shooting MG yet, but would love to come and get some advice and such.

Re: build party
The point has been well made that a "build" party would take a week.
BUT, a "debug" party might be a good idea. Once all the welding, machining, etc. is done, that's when the real work starts.
