Anybody know where to get a 80% receiver? We are getting our SOT to finish these out into post samples, and need a good receiver source.

i think most people are in a holding pattern---all waiting to see whom will come out with them first.
1. coldsteel
2. wiselite
3. i think a member is working on them as well (mgs??)
4. apex ? ?
they are still in the prototype stage.
i hope this helps

If you are willing to weld, there are receiver parts and complete, cut receivers to be had.
I sometimes get to shoot a SWEEEEET post-sample that was welded from a three-cut. You can't really see the welds, even if you know what to look for.

Cut receivers from retailers have been off the market for a while (a year ?). The place they are now being found are the auction sites, (gunbroker, auction arms, etc.) where they are going for what the market will bear (bare?). Anything below $1,000 is scarfed up pretty quick. Some kits (parts and receiver) are going for that kind of money, and they don't stick around long either.
All the recent kits that have been sold/retailed have been without any receiver parts. These guys are all waiting for someone to come out with 80% receivers - which we are told are on the horizon.
Anywhere this data is wrong - someone correct me...

Post pics when you get your receiver section from Coldsteel, John. Everybody is waiting for somebody to get a receiver section -- at last.

Kurbelgehause,
Heres the link. Have bought many of his 1919 rivet setters and rivets.
The best I've ever used.

I don't know. When I click on the link, it goes to their home page.
At the bottem of the page it shows the 42 receiver and misc. parts.
It also talks about where hes at on ATF approval.

I went back and took a second look. Wonder of wonders it was there. Looks nice. I hope he gets final approval. I don't know why I didn't see it the first time.
Must have been a time warp distortion of the cyberspace interface eminating from Rigel 7. Either that or aliens momentarily had control of my computer. Sneaky bastards.
