Lafette scope mount adapter

Hello I'm new to the forum and world of MG42.
I was wondering if anyone makes, knows of any who made/makes, or might be interested if I can machine a adapter to go into the Lafette scope mount thats a has picitanny rails on top for mounting optics.
I'm not talking about the piece that bolts to the tripod, but a piece that bolts/slide & locks into the existing periscope mount.
Please forgive me if this has already been discussed, like I said, I'm new to the forum.
