*If* I rember correctly, from the ones that I saw at knob creek. They looked similar to the cuts in Dans 3 cut receivers but w/ a extra cut somewhere around the g-stick. They are also not the clean thin cuts that IO previously had (again there similar to the cuts on dans receivers)

So, are the kits crap?

Is there anything worth salvaging from the receiver?

Are the rest of the parts worth $399?

They are prob the best kits going right now as Dan is out of stock, most kits dont even include the reciever parts anymore(centry, military gun supply,ect...)

thats the same pic they have used the last few batches, look at all the other 42 sets and youll see its the same, as i understand it the 399 set has a cut reciever but it and all the parts are just more of a mix of post war mg1 and yugo, no screamin eagle marks, the current sets that are 600 are suposed to be all german war era 42 parts, feel good I bought the same set thats $399 last month and it was $600 and didnt have a buttstock , buffer, or booster, rec scrap looks nice mine is marked, wra 1942

So, parts are missing? Funny how they don't mention that in the ad...

I just received a IO 399.00 kit and it is a mix of m-53, mg42 and mg-1 parts the receiver is cut in 4 places and would be a hard- but could be done weld up. It comes with a 7.62 barrel and a mg-1 fee tray. parts are not in great shape but servicable except butt stock - looks like a boy scout pin knife carving project.
dont have picks yet[/b]
