Hello there,
I am looking for a genuine WW2 Buttstock for an MG42, does anyone know where I can find one, or does anyone have one that is looking to sell it? Many thanks, Patrick

Understand having several German WW2 butts stocks is a great thing. But in reviewing your posted pictures I would say that you have one already. Reasons, 1st Look at the wire wrap, it's 5 wraps not 6. Most German butt stocks have 5 and yugos 6. 2nd Look at the release button, while not ribbed it's solid and a lot of folks believe that the solid release is German and the hollow release button is yugo. 3rd Look at the shape, as stated to me, a dolphin like shape is German and yugo is like a shark. Yours is one of the best ones that I've seen that shows the difference. I really think that the one that you show on your mg42 looks great, yes some wear/use on the top area, but still looks nice.
That said, anyone have one for sale for Patrick??
Have a great day.
