Does anyone have an actual, original, MG1/MG2 booster nozzle, and could they measure the nozzle orifice diameter for me?
NOTE: these are the "MG-42" style, wartime style, booster nozzles that were made specially for the early guns either made(MG1) or converted (MG2) to 7.62NATO caliber. These replicate the original MG-42 booster nozzle in appearance and external dimensions, fitting into a std MG-42 FH, but are with a smaller nozzle orifice.
There seems to be some indication in early Bundeswehr publications of varying nozzle apertures, like are found in normal range of MG3 one-piece FH-nozzles, but exactly what was the nominal aperture is what I am looking for. I want to presume it is 10,5mm like the MG3 nominal, but if anyone has one or more handy I'd appreciate either a single measurement, or an empirical database of those found out there.
I am NOT looking for "what works" in terms of a number, I am looking for what they MADE them in (Mit jedem Millimeter.....Mit jedem Millimeter..... ;-) )
THX.

Re: MG1/MG2 booster nozzle orifice diameter?
14 mm nozzle hole for 8mm ammo on the MG1/2
Re: MG1/MG2 booster nozzle orifice diameter?
10mm on the very early MG42 (before august 42)
then 11.5mm to 13/14mm at the end of war.
I heard after WWII 8mm MGs used from 13mm to 14mm booster nozzles.
