Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
Hi! I know this has already been put up in an earlier post but the link to the manual was dead. Does anyone have a PDF of the Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide that they can pass along to me or post here? Thanks in advance!!!!!
I recently purchased a WLA M53 and the troubleshooting guide that came with it only has the odd pages. Took it to the woods the day after I purchased it and ran a few belts of Yugo ammo through it, no problems except for one bad round, not bad for ammo from 1955! Like everyone else that has one of these, the barrel comes out easy but takes a lot of force to get back in. Waiting on an answer from WLA.
Great forum and it has been extremely helpful reading through all of the pertinent past posts.

Re: Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
Hi All! Just a follow up post....Wiselite contacted me ASAP, provided several solutions and will be sending me a complete trouble shooting guide. They were fast and courteous, the tech I dealt with was "Doc". Have yet to have the time to work on the M53, will let folks know what the issue specifically was so that others may hopefully benefit if they find themselves in the same boat. All in all, I simply wrote to Wiselite at their info@ email address and they got back ASAP. I'd still love to have PDF of the guide if anyone has it available? Thanks in advance!

Re: Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
I just wanted to say what a classy job Wiselite did on their troubleshooting manual. Must be a great company, considering that many of the illustrations (including captions) are a DIRECT COPY of one of my copyrighted translated MG42 manuals. When they asked if they could use it, I said NO. I did the work, and I'd be glad to sell it to them, but I'm not giving it away.
I guess they don't worry about copyrights, but I didn't think they'd go ahead and steal my work anyway.
Class, real class. I didn't expect them to be thieves. Surprise!

I think I would pursue this,John. It is a real dirtbag move on their part. Especially because they knew enough to ask first! This shows they knew they needed permission, but chose to ignore your wishes.Fortunately, with the bots here, this will show up when they are Googled.Dirtbags. ---bil PS I had thought they were more honest businessmen than this.

JOHN,BILL
Gordie k here i was just informed of the trouble shooting guide ,this was not distributed by wise lite as we had been informed by john b that it contained copy right info the person who originally wrote it is no longer in our employ. Re: Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
As above, I spoke with Gordie and believe that they did not release the manual. I does contain many pictures with captions which area a direct copy of one of my translations.
The only assumption we can make is that their former employee who originally tried to copy my work and use in the manual she was working on has released it to cause problems between Wiselite and me.
I retract my assumption that Wiselite released the manual, and would prefer that this entire thread is deleted, or at least the above manual PDF file, which contains copyrighted material that I have not released for download.
Adler - do you remember where you got the PDF file? I'd prefer not to have my copyrighted material free to download.

Re: Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
I got the manual from a fellow board member a few years back (don't recall who).
I assumed he had got it from WLA from what I recall. There was 2 semi auto WLA manuals floating around at the time when these first came out. A smaller manual that shipped with the S/A M53 and this broader trouble shooting manual. I had no idea there was any issues with it as I was just trying to help folks here who were requesting it . I figured going by the name on the heading of the manual (WLA), they wanted it out there for those looking for info as they have sent folks here before looking for help.
At any rate, I deleted the manual here and I will no longer post the WLA M53 semi-auto trouble shooting manual when requested.

Re: Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
Anyone coming here looking for help with their *semi-auto* and needs a manual for an S/A MG42, BRP offers via their website their manual for free download. http://www.brpguns.com/categories/Parts ... Semi-Auto/ There are a few important quirks with a semi version of these guns that a full auto manual would fail to mention. Great semi-auto manual BTW.

All (especially John)
Hi! I didn't mean to stir things up at all with my request! I was unaware of the circumstances...I have deleted the PDF from my computer to avoid passing it on and will certainly order some manuals from you (John) in the future. Having translated one WWII German manual for landmines (and rather crudely too, just getting the main gist for research) I can fully appreciate the time and effort it takes to produce a usable version!!! The BRP manual is done quite well, thanks for posting the link! Again, no harm intended on my end. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!!!!!

Re: Wise Lite M53 Troubleshooting Guide
AZSubterranean - no problem here. You did a favor for me by causing the manual to be posted. I didn't look at it for days after I got it, and when I did, it was exactly what I originally refused to approve, as it had at least 20 pictures that were directly copied (including captions) from one of the manuals I translated.
Thanks for understanding about the amount of work involved. There's a reason nobody ever translated these manuals in the last 60 years. It doesn't pay much, but I can't give it away, either.
