Put me down for one. I only have one gun. I think that a stronger spring will slow the recoil down and help with slam fires no matter how long your bolt extension length is. As long as it doesn't coil bind.

Re: NEW Mainspring any interest?
Everything is looking great! The minimum order was for 60 and we can order up as many as we like so it is not too late to jump on the wagon.
OK some dimensions!
The wire will be .13 in.
Free Length: 10.5 in.
Maximum compressed length: 2.5 in.
Load: 28 pounds compressed.
Closed and Ground Ends.
Springs will have proper inside and outside diameter to clear the buffer and fit into the buffer extension.
I am not going to get hung up over single wire, double, or triple as our S/A "Guts" are different than the real MG42's anyway. I will leave it to the manufacturer to determine the type of steel and coil rate.
The new spring will be almost a 30% increase over what we have been using. 28 pounds should put it close to the original uncut spring.
If anyone has an "official" spec, SPEAK UP!
