How long before this is pulled
Obviously this is not mine:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WW2-German-MG42 ... 416e93a58e
We shall see how long it takes their in-house gestapo or user-snitch, to find this auction, this seller is just begging to have his ppl account frozen.
I noticed they also pulled some 08/15 parts auctions last week, several of the auctions had been posted for 6-8 weeks, a good try on the seller's part.

HOWEVER at the bottom of that listing I found this "pile of sheet metal" listing which is selling for way to cheap..

Well surprisingly that 4-cut receiver made it through w/o getting pulled, just ended at about $1200 (s/h included), very similar to the $1200 one on GB a little while back, except that one had a few more extras.

And now from Europe a nice Graybar item.......
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-German ... 7472723%26
I wonder how many laws would they get someone on with this.... ATFE will still consider it a machinegun...
then there is illegal importation of a machinegun...... well at least two.......

Hey KABAR2,
I saw that as well, it shocked me the last few months I have been watching that site as a G43, an Stg44, and another '42 sold since the summer. Yeah they are relics, but I am not so sure it could not raise some eyebrows. In fact, at some point somebody is going to learn a hard lesson with this stuff.

Re: How long before this is pulled
Only a matter of time before someone gets burned by the ATF on one of these dug up battlefield "relics".
Besides that, I hate seeing grave robbers selling their booty. Most of these relics as they call them are dug up from battlefield/grave sites in Eastern Europe. No different IMO than diving into the Arizona and dredging up some bones, dog tags and "relics" and selling them on ebay or GB. I don't care what side these men were on, US, Russian, Japanese or German. These men died serving their country and deserve better than being dug up for their helmets, dog tags, buttons and rusted guns. Yeah maybe some stuff was buried without a body, but you can bet they are nearby.
Sorry, but this digging up of "relics" thing in Europe, especially Eastern Europe this is something that bothers me when I see it.

Precisely HOW has eBay relaxed its gun and gun parts policy? I would like to know. Long ago it was nice to buy k98 parts on eBay. Are those days returning?

Very simple, first there was what Eric Cartman would call "the before time" when all was well, parts kits on ebay all day long, then the a-hole that went nuts at V-Tech who bought his mags on Ebay made them re-trench their policy. This policy was ANY part that is used to make a gun shoot cannot be sold on ebay, e.g., with Mauser parts: a gun stock is okay, a firing pin is not, a site leaf is okay, but a sear is not, etc...they would copiously search and pull the auctions--I know first hand. Anyway over time this has become loosened up, just type Mauser 98 or 98k you will find a bevy of parts on any given week--sometimes good prices too. Last June a complete 29" Gew98 barrel with both its sites, very good/excellent bore sold for only $50. Heck there is a partial mg34 parts kit on their right now.
