Here is a can I picked up some time ago with a bunch of German stuff but not really sure on who made it. I have heard it was older German, Finnish or even Norwegian; does anybody know for sure?
It is the same height and width as a 34 ammo can but is about 1/3" - 1/2" less long:

What makes it odd (to me at least) is the insert on the inside that looks like it should stop belt tipping IMG_0561 by

This is the standard Czech ammo can for the ZBvz37 heavy machine gun. Very similar to the German cans, but easily ID'ed from the insert.
