U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed.

Once that part of the bill becomes reality I will close all my bank accounts. I am amazed that the idiots who favored the health care bill willfully ignored the part of the bill that allows the gov access to private bank accounts. I have stayed out of banks for years.I have an account at a credit union,so I can cash checks there.I have a business and personal checking account there.I leave 50 bucks or so in it,and if I need to write a check,I put in that amount,then write the check for the same amount.Keep track of all my money,but keep it in cash.No unauthorised withdrawals that way.Interest is bogus anyway,money in the bank gives negative interest if you coult cost of living.Plus I get instant access to my money if it is in my pocket.In case anyone else wants it,they can have whats in the other pocket.[no,not the one with the hole,I sewed that up! ] More people will start to keep their money this way.As far as hurting the banks,I don't know if deposits really help them.I forget the numbers,but it used to be a ratio of actual deposits to paper [fake] money they could borrow,they needed large sums.The regulators dropped the ratio so far down that they don't need much to have a big pile of 'borrowed' money to loan out.They are making most of the bucks on fees now,anyway.The trouble will come when enough of the sheeple realise the whole thing is a scam,the federal Reserve is not a government function,rather a group of private banks run by foreign banks.The money is just paper with fancy printing on it,and we are all screwed.
Actually,the big financial and government institutions have figured out a form of time travel.It used to be that they took a portion of everyones earnings and worth,then they took a portion of everyones FUTURE earnings and worth,assuming there is any.Now their latest version is to take a HUGE portion of generations yet unborns earnings and worth,and using them up today.Money pulled from the future,maybe hundreds of years.Selling our children and grandchildren into unpaid servitude to pay the debts ,the benefit of which they will never see.Reduced standard of living for future generations,spent for luxury now.What will happen when those generations realise that they are paying for the excesses of long-dead fat cats and market manipulators?? Do you think they will pay or say screw you? I know what I say,and am preparing my kids and grandson for,but the powers that be are also setting it up to prevent any such mutterings.God help us all. ---bil

You guys are worried about closing bank accounts; the reality is that IF they succeed in enacting their agenda, the US federal reserve note is quite likely going to collapse in value anyway- which will make your bank accounts irrelevant at that point. Personally, I'd rather have my "money" (what little of it there is ) in hard goods, food, tools that can be used to fix things for myself and my neighbors as a trade in a barter economy, etc. Only then would I worry too much about having "money in the bank" for the communists to confiscate and redistribute to their whim via taxes, fines, etc.

This is (hopefully) going to get reversed come November, but if it doesn't then all one can do is to prepare for themselves for what *may* occur around them. It's not a matter of 'advocating' anything; it's a matter of being honest with what the reality of the effects of the current administration's agenda will create.

As it stands,the whole mess can fall to crap tomorrow,and I can make things work.I already do a lot of trade or barter,I can make or fix almost anything.[I built my last house by hand,no helper,from the hole in the ground up] grow my own food,and protect what I have against anyone for a long time.Worst comes to worst,I can always rob the hippies with the organic gardens-they don't believe in guns! Obama’s making a big mistake or is he?, he might know the possible consequences for banning guns a revolutionary war 2 now that may sound good because we win our freedom back...maybe not as much Obama’s trying to get rid the US of our nuclear weapons, this will make us weaker now imagine a US trying to recover from a revolution with no nuclear arms, we'd be sitting ducks for any enemy nation, Obama’s not trying to take away our freedoms he's trying to destroy America.

everytime you guys (generically speaking) panic over this crap, all that happens is the prices of ammo & guns goes up. The manufacturers & distributors laugh all the way to the bank (or their mattress I guess). My kids & grandkids will still have gun rights, but won't be able to afford them due to this perpetual bubble that keeps expanding. I wish I had known how easy it is to fleese gun people back when i was a young guy, I would sure have gone into the business.
