Hi,

i found this barrel;

it's a 1942 manufactured one, but chrome lined... i thought chrome lined barrel appeared during the year 43... i was wrong.
nice marking!!

the barrel extention marking is "cnz"

Could you chrome barrel owners go into a bit of detail as to the markings and history of the chormed barrels you own? How rare are they? Who made them? How does the lifespan compare to an unchromed barrel?

I had 3 chromed WW2 dater 8mm barrels, I sold two here and kept one for my self that is marked with HYQ had eagle and swastika. bluing on all 3 barrels are perfect and all have nice chrome barrel that shines like new. These could WW2 production that were never issued and later "refined" by bundeswehr in post war germany. It looks like collectors grade barrel.

you can see photos there, I managed to barely sell them for $220 each shipped. Cheap people what can you do man? Maybe people are waiting for knockoff made in china garbage barrels for $50
