Status for all projects

Post by MGW LLC »

I would like to thank everyone on the board for their support. You have been a GREAT bunch!

I am currently in the final stages for all MG34 and MG42 projects. There had been some questions to how and where the receivers would be marked.
In short, all markings will be on the under side of the receivers to have as little impact as possible to the piece.

After giving it much thought, I have decided not to "Go Pro" with S/A MG reconstruction and will not be accepting any other projects once these have shipped.

I still have spring refund requests tricking into my IM. I am going to start sending refunds in the order that I have received them. Two weeks wasn't nearly enough time to process everyone so I'm starting with what I have.

I am switching my focus into Military Vehicle restoration and perhaps the marriage of the two backgrounds will make a dream ticket.

Thank you all again!

MR. MURPHY,

You are wearing our patients very thin. I counted well over $400. in funds of members money that wanted their funds donated to this site already. That is well over the majority of the springs sold. The way I see it, Majority rules. Donate the majority of the funds to this site and lets put this issue to bed. Let's not drag this out another year. I want this resolved by the end of this week.

Unless anyone has an objection, I would like to refund the entire amount as a donation to the forum.
The largest single spring order was for 8 springs so we are not talking about massive amounts of money to any one person but the check to the forum would be like $600.

I will give 2 weeks from this posting for anyone NOT wishing to donate their refund to this forum to please contact me via PM.

-Thank you

I can only imagine that it is hard to coordinate this and keep track of it all. Although, ppl said they want their money donated I bet some PM'd him and said that they want it back instead.

OK, well lets make the accounting easy for him then.
start at $600 because thats the number he picked and then for every PM he forwards to Salt6 we will knock 6 bucks per spring off the total.
sounds like this could be resolved in 24 hours if he's serious about making things right.
but I'd bet he can't or won't forward these PMs..........

Since Conrad started this thread,I am assuming he is keeping track of it also.So Conrad.Bottom line.Send my refund for 6 springs plus the shipping. You have my address from my Postal money order and any list you may have made. The refund will be in the form of a Postal money order. It will be postmarked no later than this Saturday,May 24.This should be at my house no later than Weds,June 3.This takes into account the weekend and holiday. After this date,I will not be accepting a refund, and will move the debt into a differant column.Thank you and good luck. ---bil

As expected. This has been moved into the 'Screwed' column. This is not the column where I keep track of bad debt. This is the title of anyone unfortunate to end up in it.It is not a good place to be. ---bil

just talked to him a day or so ago. all projects are on hold and the refund has ben delayed. he was robbed $800 (your alls money i assume waiting to be moved) and his identity was stolen, along with something else tragic he mentioned, oh ya his welder broke. so as soon as he recovers the money and his credit, things will get rolling again. he said you all are going to mader but theres nothing he can do untill the bank or pay pal (i cant remeamber) restores his accounts.

he wants to sell his MG42, a 1919 and a tripod.

perhaps someone is interested this would free up alot of funds and probably put him on the other side of the downward spiral he is in. (yes i believe sometimes you just have bad luck over and over again)

here is the email he sent me.

I've been out of practical action the past week with a bum tooth and ID theft. Nothing has got done and I mean nothing! <--Just being honest!

I got stiffed on a semi auto 1919 build and I have a semi 42 that will be ready for test fire within the week (if I can get my tooth under control). Would you happen to know anyone interested in either?

I'm looking to get $1500 out of the 1919, $800 from the tripod and pintle and about $5000 for the MG. Or equivalent in trade. I can not put on auction because I was recently a victim of ID theft and had to cancel my cards and have them re-issued. Not to mention the 800+ stolen from my account. I'm sure the MG42 board is frigg'n PO'ed but they will just have to wait until my account has been recovered through the bank.

Also, my mini mill is down and I need one of these two rifles out the door so that I can get the MG34 bolts done for everyone with 34's including yours. My back is against the wall and I am exploring all contacts and possibilities.

The pic of the 1919 is the actual gun, the MG42 is identical to the pic but is marked MU with nice Waffens.

Ok, a $6 spring is one thing, $1,500 -1919-? That is a little more than I am willing to gamble with.

Do you mean the kind of cosmic force that what you give is what you get, returned? And may take forever to happen? Or were you refering to the kind that needs a little nudge now and then so you can see the actual results? The second kind is sort of a religion to me,I am not patient enough for the first kind. :) ---bil
