How many cuts in this MG42 receiver???

Post by mspurg »

Can someone tell how many cuts in the receiver shown?? They state there is only one cut, and the picture seems to support that. Am I missing something here???

It looks like it may be one cut through the trunion area but the rest of the receiver from that point back is missing.

Do not mail order from them. I go by their shop every so often because they are close. It is great to buy from them in person because you can pick your parts to your liking. But I have heard horrer stories about mail ordering from MGS. And I believe you are right the rear half of the reciever is not included. Also notice it is cut through the barrel bearing similar to the allegheny kits and also does not seem to be included. The ATF requires min. 3 torch cuts for a full reciever. 1 cut= illegal.

RUN from this kit!!!!!

Post by pdstout »

The only parts that are usable are: Triger gtoup, Barrel, Flash hider, Top cover, Bolt, Bi pod, Butt Stock, Buffer, and that is it! The recever is Incomplete and Trashed!!! You can get all the parts from Robert Johnson, new inrap much cheaper! DO NOT BE FOOLED! That is not a MG42 parts kit. it is just a few parts and a trashed incomplete receiver. I wish the guys trying to sell to these %$#%&&^^ kits would choke on them.
Sorry for the rant! ONLY buy complete kits. I just wish the sellers, or Importers would wise up.

Yea, I have a 8mm BRP kit, but no cut-up receiver, so it will be another big investment of sorts to get a cut-up receiver or a 80% receiver to get this one off the ground.
I know Angola Arms has them for sale, but another big expense.
