Two kits from Dan

Post by kevshan40 »

I remarked on this in the intoduction thread but I wanted to post it here too. I received two kits from Dan at Angola Armory last week. I was very pleased. I don't know enough about these guns yet to tell you what the codes mean or anything like that but I can tell you the parts were in great shape. The receivers look like they will weld up well. The grip panels and bipods were missing from the kits but Dan wrote on the packing slip that he would ship those items at no extra charge when they came in. Good enough.

I would like to thank those that recommended Angola Armory. I would not have thought to purchase through there before I started lurking on this board. Looks like I got them just in time too, as it looks like Dan's sold out for now!

Anyway, nothing but praise for Dan and his kits, and what a packaging job! Thanks, Dan!

I talked to Dan the other day on the phone. Inquiring about a piece for my 1919. I was suprised when I told him that I would send him a moneyorder and he said he would put the part aside for me until the moneyorder arrived. Most places would have just given me a price qoute and said goodby. I think Dan is a real gentleman and I like his style.

P.S. the moneyorder is in the mail Dan. Should be there soon.

Vendors

I have to agree with all you guys about Dan at Angola Armory, he is TOPS! I don't know of many vendors that come close to Dan, but he provides parts, kits, etc. that are exactly as described and ships as promised!

With that said, another vendor that is TOPS is John Baum. John keeps us updated on his translations and provides us with a needed service! John is another that is very service oriented and does what he says he will do.

We are fortunante to have these fine gentlemen as contributors to this Forum!!!!!!

I have only dealt with him once, and I was very impressed. I'll be looking forward to future dealings!

Yup, I got one of Dan's kits, will make my next build one heck of a lot easier. .308 parts alone was worth getting the whole kit!
