Barrel ban question, canada to USA private citizen sale...

found a long barrel for my AK in .223 and want it, but the dude is in canada!, is it legal for me to buy from him since the barrel ban law??

File the appropriete forms and see what happens, if you get approved then there you go, if you don't then there you go. It never hurts to ask, but chances are I would say not going to happen. It would still be concidered Mil-spec. and fall under the Import ban. Once agian it never hurts to try, make your deal contigent upon BATFE approval if the seller is willing to do so. Good Luck!
