TomR,
Its hard to pull up roots and move. If everyone moved to a friendly firearms state, they might have enough votes to pass good gun laws.
I fled Commiefornia for Idaho ten years ago, should have moved sooner. I live in the country, need less money to live, buy more toys, shoot on my own property, clean water, air, better health, and most of all time to live.
Idaho only has a population of 1.4 million. Its a sportsmans paradise. People are moving in looking for a better way of life, but then all areas are getting filled up.
Sorry about your gun laws changing your hobby. It sure puts a weight on ones mind.
Have fun

My eyes are shot (no pun intended), and I cannot make out half of
the type. Can you not even have plugged mags?
This plague is sweeping the nation.
Usually when a crazed nut with an AK, or something of the like
goes to a court house, or Bank, and sprays everyone, then the State
follows up shortly on law revisions.

There's nice land down here tom... and you have family down here right?

Does this new rule screw us Jersey Guys for links?. Mags/feeding device must be "permanently altered" to restrict the capacity to 15 rounds or less. How do you permanently alter links? You can link as many as you want easily. We may have to cut belts.

If you had a belt that would hold 15 rounds, and smashed the 16th link so that it would not mate with another belt, would that solve the problem? I'm not a Jersey resident, but I'd think that'd keep 'em happy.

if you had belts they would need to be cut, i think that if you crushed or deformed a link, os stitched shut a slot in a belt it would fall under this letter as a temp alteration, the point is to make you have to reload the weapon not just rack it a few times :?

I don't see any mention of belts whatsoever, just box, drum tube or other container... A belt is neither. If you were to mount the drum, that would be a magazine.

i personaly spoke to an atf agent before buyin the 1919 a few years back and the belts are considered a mag/high cap feeding device, must be cut in (then) 10 round sections, links only in 10 rd sections, since the sunset of the awb it is now 15rd as per state law, which still means most guns/rifles even if legal to own can only use a 3,5,10 rd mag you know the expensive ones as opposed to the 20/30 rd mags that are cheap :?

tom if your talking about the expired assault weapons ban on the federal level i can tell you 100% you got bad advice . that law did not cover belts or links.
i know Calf. law states feeding device not magazine , you might want to look into how the NJ law is writen as i'm no longer up on it.
"good , bad, .....I'm the man with the gun."

Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of
over-age juvenile delinquents running the place.

It sucks when people have to flee their state to have rights that are guaranteed to them in the constitution of the country.
