I looked through the site and can't find any thing about the mg34 lmg sustained fire sets that IMA.USA sale. Can any one that has one tell me if it would be a good investment to buy one and do they work well on a mg34? Input please.

Nice set if you collect Portuguese MG34 stuff. The set is a "poor mans Lafette" with a limited usability, only manufactured in portugal!

In the "field"....Infantry would use left/right firing-limit-markers (a short wooden stake made from a tree-branch and just pushed into the ground at the gun's position) to limit your the firing onto/into other Infantry from your unit which would be to your left and right from your position...........and then if time (and paper/card) permits...."Range-Cards" would be made up for your Sector-of-Fire.
I see quite a few of the MG34 LMG Sustained Fire Sets come up on GunBroker and E-Bay quite often.......they are not a good "seller" .....and an indication of how "collectable" they will be in the future.

Ehhr, no. Sorry about being unclear, I tried irony when I said "Nice if you collect Portuguese stuff!"
They are, as 99% of the other surplus MG34 stuff around NOT German WW2. In this case Portuguese made sets for the MG34 bought in 1943. I just visited a UK based collector's homepage and his MG34 "treasures" showed off was 50% postwar Yugo or Portuguese stuff....
