Leather Barrel Carriers? Did they exist?

I recall seeing a photo somewhere (Ebay?)

I really liked how it looked, I'm just unsure of it's accuracy.

Thoughts?

i can't find any why don't you just get a metal one

Leather spare barrel carriers exist, but I've not seen one for the MG34. MG08, and others maybe: they're around, but not common anymore.

I have nothing against getting a metal one (I plan on making that my first purchase).

But I found the all leather one so....alluring. I was just curious as to the accuracy of a leather version.

i do think a leather carrier is very interesting

I remember a thread going on a few years ago now, on here i beleive, when some relic finders came across a type of leather barrel carriers for the mg34 in the ground, still contained two mg34 barrels, i beleive it was from a position where Fallschirmjagers were situated. i would imagine field made, but quite interesting.
