ANyone have some real aiming stakes?
I'm looking to make some repro aiming stakes, if someone has some originals and could share the diameters of the two tubes that thread to together, the length of each, and how far apart the red and white stripes are painted from one another that would be great, I would copy a picture of one, but I'd like to be as accurate as possible for my display. I have a RK and EM34, so now I have to have aiming stakes? Does it ever end? Chris......

I second this request. If anyone has a real aiming stake set, please post pictures and detailed dimensions. This is one item that we can easily replicate to fill that hole in our collections. Thanks !

Re: ANyone have some real aiming stakes?
Hello,
I have a set (with ears for attachment of the deckungswinkelmesser) if Ryan cannot help out.
Do you require pictures and dimensions of the canvas carrying case as well?
All the best,
Mark.

I've got an email going with Ryan, but in the meantime that would be great, the more the merrier! Thanks, Chris...

Interesting......
Got the length and OD? I need to cut down some Bundeswehr posts to use with our mortar.

Re: ANyone have some real aiming stakes?
Chris as requested mate, and for the benefit of anyone else out there.
Over all length of the widest section is 37.5cm and of the narrow section 36.5cm.
The outside diameter of the widest section is 12mm, internal diameter 9mm. Clearly hollow to allow the narrower portion to be stowed inside.
The outside diameter of the narrow section is 8.5mm, this section is solid steel rod.
The Red / White stripes are 6cm in length.
If more details are required please ask.
Getting a good day with natural light has not been happening so I hope the pics are OK!
Cheers,
Chappy. [attachment=0]Chris Cook pics 010.jpg
