The impression I'm getting from the translated books (JBaums awesome books), is that the GErmans didn't even refer to these as Gebirgs LAfettes, rather they mention "new style" or Lafette 34 with adjustable legs...

The book "Wehrmacht Camofaluge Colors 1939-1945" is an excellent reference that includes color swatches. Here is a good example of Dunkelgelb that has not faded to a sandy hue:

Can you give a link or source for this book? Or recommend any other books that would be useful. I have done a google with no luck.

$35 +($6 shipping & handling)
Charles Kliment

Princeton, NJ 08540
email him first: kkliment@verizon.net

and I believe you can only get it from him.

I have a yugo 42 lafette that I got in a trade, and I would like to repaint it and possibly change the top with one from a 34 lafette. Where do I find the right color, and paint? What is the best striper?

Thanks for your help.
