GOING TO MG42 PARTS WAREHOUSE.

Post by drooling idiot »

I have an appointment Monday night to go to a local class 2 dealers warehouse. (he says) he has a BUTT load of small parts and accessories for the MG42 , i know hes got a bunch .
so anyway what stuff do you guys need , what parts are your kits missing ? what should i be looking to pick-up , for you.
I feel like its christmas time , he almost never opens the "vaults" like this and i've been bugging him on and off for over a year.

drooling idiot,
I am looking for almost anything WWII German MG42 or MG34 that your friend has for sale.

We have need of (but not limited to):

1: MG42: (**)
AA-Tripod Heads.
8x57mm Barrels.
Barrel-Carriers.
Lafette-Tripods.
MGZ-40 Optic-Collimator.
MGZ-34 or MGZ-40 Optics.
Small "User" Parts (IE: Square-Extractor Parts, Recuporator-Parts, Rivets, etc.).

2: MG34: (**)
AA-Tripod Heads.
8x57mm Barrels.
Single and Double Barrel-Carriers.
Lafette-Tripods.
MGZ, and MGZ-34 Optics.
Small "User" Parts (IE: Springs, ejectors, pins, ejector-plates, firing-pins, etc.).
**Note: Need WWII German issue, or replacement parts.

3: Belts, ammo-cans, and assault-drums and carriers.

All would need to be priced to sell at (or below) current vendor rates available now.
You can e-mail me direct at:

Santa,

I need (want) a WWII German parts kit. Receiver parts not necessary; the elves from Angola Armory already sent me two torched receivers. I'd like to find some parts with WWII markings.

he seemed geared more to post war MG1/3 stuff. he did have some nice 8mm barrels .
like tom said he is a little disorganized right now but he was very nice and let tom and I root through his boxes he had on premises. i was looking more at finding the little pieces people are missing from their kits since he's not a "parts kit" dealer or a large importer . he had about 100 standard front sight posts but none had the sight blade still attached, maybe there in a different box? , also didn't see any recuperator hardware :(

Tom:

The AA tripod has a different head for the 34 and the 42. The head doesn't fit both guns, just one or the other. They're easily swapped, so only one tripod is needed. It will be the MG34 head that will be hard to get.

How about a feed tray for the 8mm ammo? Maybe the top cover as well for the conversion to 8mm? Any other parts (besides the barrel) that are needed?

:D

I need a MG42 rear bottom cam section that keeps the buffer in place(I guess the whole rear section behind the grip stick). Also a demilled MG34 receiver with intact buffer threads and front cam section
