there is a german 8mm one on gunbroker and robert at rtg usuallu has em. i got a 308 one from sportsmansguide a couple of years ago for around 100.00 but those cheap ones are long gone now. they use the belts. if you want to use links you will need a different loader and somebody over on the 1919 board usually has some kind of device that works. if you are just doing a few, you can always load by hand, they arent that hard to load. happy linking.

Allegany had them two weeks ago for $375. These were yugo 8mm loaders- just like war time german.

Cole is sold out of loaders.

Saw 2 of them @ the crossroads gun show in phoenix today they where in the box still in the wraping paper for $200.00

How much are they now? I spoke to someone who has 25-30 of them, and im trying to negotiate a price.

Speaking of loaders, whatever became of the kit to convert the post-war .308 belt loaders to 8mm?

I was thinking of buying them all, or at least a dozen of them depending on price. Then reselling them. Not to make a big profit, but to cover my costs and pay for one for myself and other toys for this hobby. I did the same thing recently with wooden WW1 ammo boxes over on another website. I bought a group of them for a good price, then resold them on that site for less than they are going for retail, but still at a small profit, made my money back and kept 2 for myself. The guy just sent me a list of other MG42 things he has. Im not sure what exactly all these parts are, but Im going to ask for pics and prices.

John...Thanks for the info. If RTG has it, Im probably not going to be ordering any then, as I dont want to step on his toes, and I probably couldnt get it for less anyway. As the belt loaders seen to be scarce now, Ill try to get them. Ill see if I can get better descriptions of the rest of the stuff. I think "bottom pieces with buffer spring " is the part that goes inside the buttstock and attaches it to the back of the receiver. Some of these items, im not so sure there is a demand for, as every kit comes with that piece, as well as the flash hider.
