Fortress cans ??

What is a fair price range for fortress cans these days ? I'm looking to buy
one and have no idea what the ballpark is.. Have never even seen a post
on them here on the Board. Thanks

A good can is $200-$300. Here is a pic of one on the mount. What is really hard to find it the 250 rd belt that goes in the can.

thanks for the info, the dealer who may have a can for sale also does have
250 rd belts, what's the going rate for those and how can you determine that
it isn't an "assembled" version ?

The belts are stainless steel and are one piece with the starter tab attached. When I say stainless steel, the Germans called it something else, but I can't remember off hand. They should be a dull gray color. The metal is brittle so it is common to find one or two of the tabs broken off. I have a 1935 dated belt and will post a close up pic later. The belts are worth the same as the can

who has the small 50 rd. cans and belts at a decent price, thought I read something about a Canadian company that has post war ones? Any body?

Marstar in Canada has them. Another seller on ebay from Canada has offered them regularly as well.
