Any plans on selling any?

Is the jig made from a solid brass billet?? Very nice jig-excellant receiver.can't wait to see it all finished. Was it made from a 3 piece? Did you have to fill or did you get overlapping pieces. We need details!

I made the jig from a solid round brass bar. I turned it down to the correct radius. I also drilled out the center for a 1/2 tool steel rod to keep it from warping. Also there is a pined in stud that can go in it to use it on a vertical rotary table on the mill. The receiver was a 3 pcs cut. The front was overlapping, the rear had a 1" gap. I had another receiver I milled out a thin filler plate out of it and welded it all together. I will probably put the jig on weapon guild as a loaner tool. I'm done with it.

Your receiver looks great and 6 amps... WOW...
If you could put some more pics of the jig and give us poor soles more info on how you made it would be great...

I used the MIG to weld it. The jig was really tough to do. I did it on vertical rotary table on the mill. It took about a week to make. There is also a block that fits into the ejection port to hold everything straight and it has holes for the front grip pin and the recoup spring pin so that way the measurements stay correct. I had no warping when it was all said and done and I used allot of heat on the back. I will post some more pics of the jig in the morning.

That thing is awesome man
Re: another SA MG-34 receiver brought back to life
That is sweet! I bet it works good with a heat sink like that.Any problems getting it back out?Looks like a lot of thought went into it-no wonder your 42 tutorial is so precise. The jig looks as good as the receiver.Well, almost!

I comes out pretty easy once everything is nice and cool. I let it sit overnight before I tried to remove it. I remove the steel rod first and then help it out with a brass drift. On the first build I pulled a burr and scarred the left side a little, but it worked great for the second one. I just hope some knuckle head doesn't beat on it with steel ! That would be the end of that jig.
