Questions for the experts

Have a few questions for someone more knowledgable than I am when it comes to the MG34. I have two flavors of feed plate, two different lengths of piston rod, & two pieces that I don't know what they are. Anyone know why the difference in these parts, & what the 2 small pieces are?

The Germans in WWII actually made 6 different feed trays. The two small parts are sear trips ( I think). The long rod is the barrel return rod (there is a spring that goes with it). The short rod may be something for a rate reducer, but I am not sure.

Thanks guys. I have a parts kit w/ demilled receiver that will be selling soon. Just wanted to make sure that none of these parts were rare & also wanted to make sure all the small parts were there.
