Identify part help?

Does anyone know what this part is? It's German marked and I can't figure out what it is. Thanks for the help!

It is a firing pin retainer for an MG34. It is the later version which is probably the most common. I have no idea whether its worth anything. Firing pins break off at the tip sometimes but I have yet to see one of those broken.

As far as I know, and from personal experience, it should not be blued. The Germans did not blue the MG34 (or the 42) bolt, bolt carrier and attached components.
To return it back to its original plain steel try washing it in some Phosphoric Acid or rust remover that contains PA.
