TNW semi wont stay cocked...

I'm hoping one of your guys can offer some insight as to why myTNW MG34 wont fire.
The problem is that the bolt fires itself, decocking itself, whenever it moves all the way foreward. When I have the bolt in the gun it'll cock when I pull back on the cocking handle, but when i let it fly foreward or ease it foreward it uncocks itself just before it makes it all the way foreward.
I'm getting really frusterated. Originally the issue was a little snap ring coming loose and letting the little washer/ring think on the rear of the bolt move. But I was able to fix it by bending the retaining ring a bit so it would stay in place... but now the gun wont fire anymore, or stay cocked, but it looks like the ring isn't moving, so I dont know what the issue is.
Any advice?
