hello i have find this strange parts for mg34 (lokk at pictures )

stemp WaA 280 , i think it's for double magazin or mg13 magazin ,?

I believe it is the topcover for use with double drums,similar to the ones used on the mg13,but not the exact drums.Anyone linking to the picture-I found it took a while to come up,there are a lot of ads on the photobucket type page.But the pic is there.And welcome to the site-did you dig this up or find it somewhere? I am assuming it was not on the 34 when you got it.Thanks,you will get some good answers here. ---bil

I tryed looking @ the picture but all the pop ups scared the crap out of me its not worth looking @ with all that crap attached to it :puk:

It appears damaged missing the lock piece to secure the double drum :? Thanks bil...

i have find it in hold collectore house in france , wirh many other intersent parts
this piece goes perfectly on the mg34 (without FEED PLATE)

It appears to me to be an adapter that was made by a Waffenmeister and not a production part.
I doubt that it is for the Doppeltrommel because the mounting and latch looks wrong.
Bil may be right in that it's an adapter for the MG13 magazines.

Let's hope that ww2soldiers will post a number of photos so we can make a good guess as to it's use.

That doesn't look like the double drum topcover, but a modified one for the MG13 mags is a possiblility, I'd never even thought of that.
