Got MG34 barrels from I.O., mint, but...

Does anyone know where they got their barrels? The barrels are excellent, and are german WWII, but the barrel extension on one (also mint) has little waffenampts on it that almost look like they're done with an electropencil. The other one I got from them has stamped waffenampts and looks normal. The only other marking on the one I'm questioning is a Z stamped in one flat of the barrel extension. The "electropencil" waffenampts don't quite look like the ones on my other barrels- and considering I.O.'s reputation, I thought I'd better check.
Could this be one of the (dangerous) Israeli ones Sarco had? They are in 8mm, but are clearly German WWII barrels, but as I recall, the only problem with the Israeli ones was the barrel extensions. I've never seen anyone but Sarco or Ohio Ord. with the Israeli ones though. I've also not seen IO have Israeli ones for sale, either.
Could this be a Czech or Ukranian post war barrel extension? Or did the Germans actually put on some waffenampts like this? I didn't pay any extra for it, so I'm not sure why anyone would fake it, unless it is the real thing???
I can't wait for my MG34 to get here, I'm going to have some fun with it when it does!

not sure, but I would question it. I have bought several barrels only from ohio ord. and only one had a german barrel with waffens and an unblued barrel ext. with electro-stencil waffens. I don't think the germans used electro-stencils, so I question it. All my other barrels and extensions are waffen stamped with a metal stamp and are blued. I hope some of the older "wiser" experts can comment on this.

Wow, this is interesting! The unblued barrel extensions didn't surprise me a bit, and I didn't even think about it until you pointed it out.

The germans didnt blue the recievers on the Gew. 71, 71/84, or Gew. 98 mausers in WWI, so them mating unblued items with blued didn't even tick over as odd to me. The barrel exension is a different metallurgy, so it doesn't take bluing quite the same as the rest of the barrel, just like the recievers used to be, so I just figured that was the original German state. My blued barrel extension is German, but attached to a Yugo barrel: I figured the Yugos did that, not the Germans. All the other barrels I've got, including a blank firing barrel, have blued barrels with unblued extensions.
That's interesting others have the "electropencil" waffenampts, though, and even on a bolt! Now I'm not sure what to think. I know I didn't pay any extra for it, so I can't say anyone got anything out of it, I just don't want to get the questionable Israeli ones. What sort of marks would there be on those? I've never seen any Israeli issue stuff that wasn't marked, at least with the funny "Y" and a star.

What makes the Israeli barrels "questionable"?

I just lifted/copied this from a post in the "Accessories" forum:

These barrels are the IZZY ones, brand new (old stock) and chrome lined...at least the ones I got are. They also have a few Original German ones. Just for your information.........

***WARNING!!!*** Extreme Danger! Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, use the Israeli BBLS with the Israeli barrel locking extensions as they come!! There is a well known difficiency in the metallurgical crystilline structure of the steel used in the barrel EXTENSIONS (locking collars) that render them highly susceptible to shattering. The barrel tubes themselves are fine, but you MUST remove the Israeli extensions and replace them with original German WW II or Yugo locking extensions to be safe!!
This is NOT something "....to do later, next week" type of thing. There is a reason why the BBLs were held in reserve and sold as scrap metal only.. Fair warning.
