Questions about parts kit from Allegheny Arsenal, Inc.

Ordered a parts kit from these folks. Everything looks nice except that i did not receive all the misc small parts from the receiver. In other non mg34 kits I have received everything but the receiver "body" or plate itself.

I'm gonna call and see, but was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

Thanks...

what misc. small parts are you missing? The cams and ejector plates don't come with their kits. You have to get those separate.

Do you have a camera so we could see the kit and parts missing?
I guess the grip pins, dust cover assembly, cams, ejector, barrel return assembly, buffer lock assembly ???????

I can guess you are missing the cams and the ejector plate. I noticed mine was gone also. I called AA and they told me that their policy was not to include the Ejector Plate and Cams because they think it is illegal and will constitute a full build able gun, despite the lack of a receiver. According to their operator and the manager I spoke to, the website clearly states they aren’t included under the ad description: ‘Build your own "non-gun", semi-automatic or use as repair parts.’ SO according to AA thinking ejector plates and cams aren’t necessary for F/A repair parts or S/A builds. Likewise the ad claim ‘Kits include all internal and external parts less the receiver.’ doesn’t mean all the parts. But in a heart beat AA will sell you the parts and parts kit and ship them together. Check your bore; it’s probably a sewer pipe as well as the bolt face. Both of my bolts have a deep primer corrosion ring, the tip of a dental pick will disappear in it. AA, unless they’ve changed, you won’t get the missing parts; I recommend IMA-USA.com for the parts, spend $99 and get free shipping.

I bought a MG34 parts kit from Alleghenny Arsenal back in 1999(The days when MG34,MG42,MP40,and MP44 kits were abundant like going shopping at Walmart)and my kit has matching top cover and barrel jacket.Mine came with all parts except the cams and ejector plate.Five years ago they used to sell the front section with cams and about 4" of the receiverfor only $50.Now they remove the cams and you get no section of the receiver.

I got a kit from them about a month ago. Received a VERY nice excellent conditioned kit. dfb 42 barrel shroud with an excellent barrel with the same SN as shroud. Blueing on everything is nice except on the grip which has a little minor surface corrosion. The grip looks like the only thing I may need to re-blue. The wood stock looks nice too. I guess its the luck of the draw. I ordered the cams and ejector plate at the same time. Now I just need a receiver and I will be all set.

The best deal about five or six years ago was with Inter-Ordnance.They were selling DOT43-44 parts kits with matching topcover and barrel jacket, and on top of that they included a two-cut complete receiver for only $375.

I also ordered a kit from AA about a month ago, a dot 1943. No complaints from me, a very nice kit indeed. The gal I talked to when I ordered said their kits were "dwindling". Buy now or cry later.

Heads up...AA's MG34 kits just went up $100. They are now $695. Maybe they are getting really low on stock?

i had purchesed a 34 kit from A.A back in oct.they made a display gun out of it instead of just sending the parts, like i asked.not a big deal.the buffer housing catch and the cocking handle will be welded to the reciever any way.of course the cam's and ejector plate wasn't with it.oh well.didn't think about it till reading this posting,so i just went and cleaned the barrel.it is most defentally a sewer pipe.and are you sure that ring isn't suspose to be on the bolt face? that was a joke .i think.but on a good note the reciever was a saw cut(chop saw)and should be good to work with.but the guy that welded the 1/2"x1"x9" chunk of steel inside the reciever did a crap job.and they also didn't prep the reciever before painting ie.grinding the welds on the outside and didn't clean the nooks and crannys of the reciever.still alot of grease packed away.so as for buying this as a display.....i guess i am not very pleased with the way the reciever looked.but for a parts kit that will be turned into a SA perfect.well that is except the barrel and the bolt.so when you think about it,parts kits that were saw cut,had good barrels, had all the reciever sections ,at a cheep price are a thing fo the past.i'm just glad to have jumped into this wagon.even tho this wagon is comming to a stop before a very very big hill.as far as A.A goes.they are good people.and they have to change thier price to keep up with everybody else.supply and demand.also the way they are doing the cams and ejector plate's is probabily for the benifit of the alphabet nazi's.i can only imagine what it's like to deal with them. :bang: [/quote]

I got a kit from AA in Jan. All good, good quality, only they forgot to ship the barrel :?
I called them and the gal on the phone was very nice and helpful. They sent one out right away.
I stil kick myself for not buying one of these years ago. I have a BSW "parts kit" missing all the small pieces and bolt that was given to me years ago. I kept procrastinating thinking I will get one one of these days.
I had my head up my a$$ by not realizing how the import ban would effect the prices and avail. It's only common sense.

Looks like Allegheny Arsenal is currently sold out of parts set per their website.
Hopefully someone will import more parts as new MG34 barrels are being produced in the USofA. We just need a more affordable semi-auto receiver now, besides more parts.
