Ejection problem

Post by GrrArgh »

On occasion, my TNW receiver + parts kit MG34 will flip the ejecting cartridge case around but not eject, this causes a jam as the bolt tries to load the next live round.

Is there a cure for this?

I have been using 50's Yugo so I don't know if this ammo related.

I have had a few of those ejector problems like you describe. It could be your ejector plate. Those screws may work loose or break like mine did.
Mine also had a TNW made ejector bar that was different from an original German one. My TNW bolt broke a few yrs ago and I modified an original to replace it and used the German ejector bar.
I havent had a recurrance with the German ejector bar.

It has the original ejector though when I got it back from TNW it did have a ding in it. I have a spare so I will replace it. Thanks...

There is also the possibility that the booster-cup/"recoil-nozzle" has a forward hole that is slightly too large.......and/or the barrel-return rod/spring are hanging up.

Remove the recoil-spring and work the action (without ammo) to see if you can locate anothing "binding"...then lubricate and reassemble.

I had this problem with mine. The check list begins with the recoil spring, the barrel return spring and rod, and ammunition. My weapon is very ammo sensitive. It works best with the Romanian steel case ammo.
