The seller is in Spain, so there are a lot of places where this part is legal. Unfortunately, the US is not one of them.

not a bad deal for $11.00 ;) , but you will go to jail if you buy it in the U.S.

I'm sure ATF has better things to do than watch what sells on ebay. I'm also sure they don't do all of them, and that they watch what sells on ebay. It would be an easy bust, with lots of publicity for them. Imagine this on the evening news:

"Illegal unregistered machine gun siezed after ebay sale!" Yeah, that'd give 'em a woody. They could show how after 12 hours of work in a $50,000 machine shop with $1,000 worth of parts, they could make it fire two cartridges with a single pull of the trigger. Ewwwww save me from armageddon.

Besides that, for every ATF agent who'd do it, there are 20 anti-gun asses who'll wait for the auction to finish, then send an email to ATF about it, giving full details and why don't you arrest this dangerous person or we'll take it to the newspapers.

The money saved by buying that receiver instead of a registered one, is less money than the lawyer is going to want to defend you in court to try to keep you out of jail. The wages lost while trying to defend yourself are greater than the money saved by buying it, too. ..... it's just not worth it.

It's legal here to have an MG42 bolt... not a problem at all. In Germany it's illegal to have, and unusable, rusted solid bolts in terrible condition go for $50 and up. In Australia, I know a guy with a registered MG34, but he had to give up his Luger because it's illegal. Pistols are dangerous, you know.... Just ask McDonald's in New Zealand, England, and Canada.

It would seem that the writers of the Constitution had the importance of armed citizens figured out, considering that the right to bear arms is second only to free speech.

I know it is legal there. Barrels and bolts are the bad thing across the pond. Pretty good bet that it will be a European buyer. However I doubt the customs people would know what it was even if they happened to inspect it.

I will tell you that there is no gun or crime worth sacrificing the virginity of my rectum! :o

I believe that 'Prison love' is now referred to as a 'Crystal Gayle' in that it will make the recipient's "brown eye" blue!!

lampwick - Wouldn't that make his Blue eyes Brown??? :dizzy:

Take a look at the Buyer - ame2 in MOCKSVILLE, NC - Shouldn't be hard for the ATF to find him at all.

They may not watch ebay but they do have an internet division that watches all the gunboards like this one , gunco, weaponeer ar-15 fal files etc. So as soon as the link to the ebay auction pops up here you can bet its bieng watched. I imagine alot of state agencies watch these boards also, a friend at fdle mentioned recognizing my user name on this group last year. Hey Wendy
