If the receiver "7.62 x 51" comes thru, I plan to get a kit and the receiver. This should be a fun build with the receiver!

I am interested in locating a good WWII German MG34 Parts-Kit(s) with matching "original" WWII German serial-numbers..........not the "line-outs"/forced-matched.....hardware-store "restamed" new-number set. I have never had luck with companies doing the "luck-of-the-draw" business.

Anyone got a Parts-Set like that can e-mail me directly with photos and price.....may even trade a 3-cut SA42 "Kit" for the right set of MG34 Parts.

Thanks, RichardS.

Tom, do you know if the kits from Allegheny are decent or not? I have read the boards about their receivers on their old kits. Of course the kits they have now have no receiver included, but was wondering what the condition of all o fthe other parts were like....i.e. matching, lineouts, finish, etc. Chris.

I received a VERY nice parts set to my specification from BRP. Call Brian and talk to him, tell him exactly what you are looking for and he will make every effort to fix you up!

You should definitely call Brian at BRP if you want to get something nice and very specific. He will spend the time and energy to make sure you get what you need.

I got a kit from AA. It has mismatched parts but was in excellent condition. I think it was reblued. The barrel had a little frosting in the grooves but the lands were strong and sharp.

Just purchased one of the SG 34 Parts kit ($539 - buyers club cost) that was suppose to have the demilled receiver but packaged arrived without it. Called and was told that customs had pulled out the reciever sections -only the cams and ejector plates were left. Overall good shape but also had the wrong bipod so I returned for a refund. SG has another 34 parts kit listed at $449 - buyers club w/o receiver parts (don't know if it includes the cams) but they are not in yet.

Receiver 101:

can some esplain to me why you can't get a parts kit with a receiver? The parts kit comes with the front section, but my IMA receiver in complete with front section. So where are all of the other sections from the parts kit going? and where do they get the receiver parts with the front section if those are left with the parts kits?? It doesn't add up?
