short answer no, reason is just like the ww2 mg42 tray there is no lower belt feed paw to hold the belt in gun, you got the links though so try it :D
Great men are born in fire, it is the privilege of lessor men to light the flame, no matter the cost

ChevyM14,
If you have "spare-parts" (IE: MG34 feed-tray and a spare MG3 Feed-tray) see if you can modify the MG34 Feed-Tray to the same configuration as an MG3 feed-tray and add in the lower belt-feed-pawl.

You won't change the jerking of the belt due to the differences in the MG34 belt-feed-lever/system vs. MG42 shuttle-feed-system...........and the whole idea may not even work.....but we do know that the MG34 was converted by the Norwegiens to fire the 7.62x51mmNATO/.308 ammunition. Also, OOW made conversion parts to do just this a few years ago.....they just didn't make modified MG34 feed-trays to feed M60 Links.

Give it a try.....and as TonR likes to say "THIS NEED PHOTOS" (IE: let the Board know what you tried, results, and maybe a photo or two of your build.

Be safe, RichardS.
