Semi Auto MG34 ... Problems going into battery

Greetings all,
New to this forum so here goes..
Glad to see so many enthusiasts here and hoping my problem is not uncommon or at least solvable.
Note.. Just posted this same question an hour ago.. It did not post so in case there is a duplicate that is why.
Built an MG34 Semi and just finished assembling parts to new welded up reciever.. Reciever came out great and it specs out just fine. Cams are not good but will be replacing them post haste. All parts fit like they should and bolt glides through the reciever like a greased pig.. I used TNW small parts and used the heavier spring.
Also.. Bolt has been lubed well.
Problem.. When bolt is sent forward from full main spring compression, it initially fails to lock up fully in battery. After a couple tries it will and will dry fire but then it is a gut busting effort to break it free of the cams to pull it back. Cams are lubed.. Barrel rear surfaces are lubed, bolt is lubed and it is just stubborn.
So, before I have a hernia rupture or break my charging handle, I need to find out what is going on !!
NOTE.. Viewing Youtube videos, I notice that functioning MG34's seem to function very fluidly with regard to pulling bolt back after a missfire etc.. It looks very easy to do..
One observation of note also.. When bolt is forward and after dry fire, when I pull it back there is the snap of the recouperator and then it jams, requiring a Herculean effort to bring it back. I litterally have to drive it back with a brass rod unit it clears cams in some cases.
Thanks in advance for any feedback or help here.
Best Regards
Bill
