MG-34 finally shipped
Just got this email: "We received the ATF approval on your full-auto MG-34 and shipping it out today via Fedex."
Woot woot
I got 6,000 rounds of ammo and can't wait to light up the valley.

Re: MG-34 finally shipped
Not trying to interject any bad feelings here, but USPS registered mail is much safer than FedEx for shipping an MG.
If it gets "lost", FedEx won't pay for it. Same goes for UPS.
Post office registered mail is the safest way to go. There is nothing illegal about sending a gun through the mail. When it's registered, whoever has possession of it has to sign for it coming in and going out.

Many SOTs carry separate insurance for shipping via FedEx which could be the case with this shipper.
UPS expressly forbids the shipment of machine guns in their company tariff and will not cover them against thieft or damage.
I generally ship machine guns registered mail but have shipped via FedEx at the customer's request.

MG-34 finally shipped
Shooting it tomorrow for the first time. Had to watch a YouTube video to verify I knew how to load it. I haven't shot a belt fed MG since 1987 when I was a M-60 gunner in the 10th Mountain Division.

The Iranian ammo doesn't cycle, but the Romanian stuff works great. Definitely ranks up there as one of my favorite MG's. I carried a M60 during my time with the 10th Mountain Infantry (purchased one of these too but haven't received it yet) but there is something about this MG-34 that I really like. Such a great piece of history. If any of you guys get near Pittsburgh, PA give us a call and I'll hook you up with a discounted demo.

CONGRATS on your new acquisition.
Feed her decent quality ammo, and with minor upkeep, that fraulein should last you a while

Nice!
I have a pre sample 34 and a C&R 42 both coming in to me. Can't wait!
Details on your gun? C&R? Year made?
Also, is that the Romanian Hot Shot ammo, or surplus?
Love the excitement at the end of your video!!
