The most important part in the answer to that question is upside down.

Well here goes. Since you posted this in the mg34 section and not in mg42 it goes like this. A mg34 asking price at Knob Creek a few weeks ago complete nice etc was $3,000.. I'm guessing with an extra search fire device added in ($200) and take off $500 as it's in pieces maybe $2,500 Tops. If the carrier is mg42 then $400 total. With the stuff that I have around the max that I would go,, "if" mg34 and all seems like it is there and you guess that it would "work" is $1,500 but I have two of them and don't need another project. I would start with an offer of $1,000 and go from there. New pads are needed. Good News is if you were planning to take it apart and repaint it well that part is done.

Good Luck with the deal.

Ask for a pic of the butt end on the other side also. Also I'm thinking that it's missing a few small parts also.
Good Luck

Missing a few small parts? How about a rear leg for starters.

You did a better parts count than I did. I think both oil can brush/caps also and maybe a few more things. Time and numbers is what this one is all about. Would the buyer have the time?? Want to do the work?? Might or might not be better off buying one for about $3,000. Interesting

Hell if its a 34 mount and you dont buy it I will for that price. Although I gotta say finding the missing parts from a 34 mount is gonna be a challenge. You can use 42 mount parts in some cases

I'm in for $550. do I hear $600. The mg34 sled stripped was selling for $550 and now they are sold out at that price. A search fire is selling for about $200 plus.

Ok, I'm in for $600. do I have $650?

If the clamp for the mf34 is missing in the front then you might not want to buy this one. Last ones of those I saw went around $400 each. Then finding the trigger parts.

Would like to see more pics and hope that all goes well.

Bought the parst and got them yesterday. Some of the parts are in a rather tough condition and some are like new.
Looks like it took a beating once and got a bit of center, and some weldings have cracked, but its fully out fixabale :D Ill make a "tourial" or what you call it if any interest? Might be an interesting and fun prodject.
Im for sure exited :D :D

Pardon my bad English, but you get what I mean.

Want to know did the sled have all of the bracket etc. for a mg34?? Post a few new pics of what you got here so we can see also.

Start a new thread for the rebuild. Sounds great. There is someone rebuilding one and he has a rebuild thread running.
