reweldable reciever?

Post by Willie_715 »

I am new here but I have lurked here for a while and I am a member of several other boards. I am looking for the pieces of reciever to weld. Do any of you know where there are any available? Or do any of you have any available? I really want to build a semiauto mg34 as I have a cherry parts kit. Any help would be appreciated on required mods for semiauto.

Reweldable receivers

Post by ChrisPCook »

After you get up 5 posts on this forum, you can view the for sale section, something may pop up there from time to time. I ended up getting my receivers about 3 months ago from IMA for 100$ each. That was the last source, and they are out. Check gunbroker from time to time, one may pop up. Also on the build it yourself forum Pirate (basically the guru of builds) is starting a tutorial on how to build a 34. He has an excellent step by step tutorial already in place for the MG42. Read back through all the old listings and do your research. Pick up a copy of Universal Machineguns by Myrang Folke (sp?). Another board member (J. Baum) has excellent reprints of the German WW2 tech manuals, you will need some of these as well IMO. There is also an effort underway here on the forum to make new MG34 receivers. Of course, you could send your kit off to TNW and have them build one for you ($$$$). Hope this helps, Chris....

Willie_715,

Welcome aboard.
I just sent you a "PM" as I have a really nice DEMILed MG34 receiver for sale (3-cut) at this time listed down in the Board's F/S Section.

Regards, RichardS.
