Can some please take a picture of the Ejector plate for me?

PLEASE! I think my saw cut receiver has it but it does not look like its screwed in....If someone would take a nice picture of the plate and tell me exactly where its located, it would sure help me be 100% on this.

Yeah I am a newbie to the MG34

folkies book has good pix, the c/line of the plate is apox.4-5/8 in from front of rec. where top couver mounts
plate is apox 1-1/2 wide,some screw in others are rivited ,plate slides into slots in the receiver rail
you need manuals-SEE john you need all the info you can get

Thanks...I thought that was what is was but I do not think mine looks like that (the area where its screwed in). I will have to take another look tonight!

A lot of the WWII German MG34 ejector-plates had the screw-heads soldered-over after they were screwed onto the MG34 receiver. I guess that the Germans felt that it helped insure that the screws did not come loose.

yeah I guess that is what happened to mine as they can just be seen....it looks almost flush!

Yeah, yours are probably screwed in, ground flush and staked in the groove.

They look that way; at first glance that was my thought. But after taking a 6-8 of them apart the screw heads are filed flush then staked.

So what you are saying is that the WWII German MG34 Ejector-Plates were screwed on with screws that had "taller" heads.....then filed-flush, and then "staked" ?
