Bearing/Booster - Ventilation Holes - Round vs. Elongated

I just picked up a spare MG34 muzzle cone and bearing/booster and I just noticed that the ventilation holes on the bearing/booster were elongeated in shape and not perfectly round. Do some bearings/boosters have round holes and others have elongated holes?? I want to make sure that these parts are original.

Early made. Later all were made with the round holes.
