I fired my MG34 for the first time in many years this past weekend, I then rediscovered the 4 hours it takes to clean the gun. I now really want to find a MG34 7.62 conversion kit. I located one on the website of brpguns. I was wondering if any of you might have this conversion kit and if in fact works well ?
Thank you.

Re: Mg34 7.62 conversion kit
All I did to convert mine is a 7.62 barrel of course and then added a little piece of metal to the feed tray to make up for the shorter 7.62 round. Nothing else, works great. Don't see why that kit wouldn't work.
Re: Mg34 7.62 conversion kit
FWIW, I bought a running 8mm 34 from a reputable builder and then I asked him to install the BRP conversion kit to .308. After a YEAR of working on it, the builder gave up and I had to send it back to Brian at BRP. He, of course, replaced a bunch of stuff and had it running perfectly after about a month (and $800)

On MG34 I think that Brian at BRP is one of the best.
Going to be talking to him about a .308 kit for my XMG-16 in a few weeks.
