Since APEX already has the MG42/M53 barrels manufactured in 8MM I am planning on having a run of 100 barrels done in 7.62X51 NATO, these will also be chrome lined and blued.
BUT, expect to have a wait!
My usual delivery time runs about 120 days and I have not placed the order yet.

I'm not sure if these are chromed but I think they are Steyr NOS, but there seem to be only a couple left at Ohio Ordinance Works,

there were 30 four weeks ago now there seems to be only 10.
Are there still 308 barrels on the way from APEX? OOW has been the only place I've found besides GB and I wouldn't mind getting a spare later down the road if OOW sells out of theirs.

before ordering and paying for one, make sure they inspect the thread count on the barrel. you might end up like I did. thread count to shallow, had to put it on the lathe and finish the threads. I never found out who is making these barrels, mine is in 8mm and came with a parts I purchased 5 years past. just a heads up, if you don't have a lathe -- you might find yourself going to a machine shop or paying shipping to return the barrel. make sure your getting what you expect, quality.
