Those were known as the "Regler",or'regulator,in English.they were on the very early guns.It was like a clockwork set-up.There is only one complete and working set known to exist.{Myrvang}The 'Umschalter' is a 'Changeover lever' that fits in the hole that previously held the fast/slow selector.I would think that this would be on the early gripsticks that had either had the clockwork removed,or ones that had already been machined for the works.I am not sure what you are looking for. Please correct me if you have differant info.Thank you. ---bil
Gentlemen,
Thank you for the responses. I should have made my request much clearer. What I am looking for is an early grip stick which originally had the clock work mechanism cut out;however, the clock work parts have been removed, but still retains the Umschalter.
I realize it would be impossible to find a complete unit, therefore, I am trying for the next best option.

Sombody else bought this and had it shipped to me. I took the guts out and sent them to him, and it was seized by his customs as illegal MG parts. The guy was allowed to have the parts, as he has the MG34 it matched up with, but said it would be too much trouble to fight them, so he told me to keep this part for my trouble. It was a shame, but it was his decision to let it go. I guess sometimes being right isn't enough.
It's not like the guy who wanted me to send barrels and bolts to Germany... yeah, like I needed trouble like that.
Greg and Nikki from AA are both good people. Very nice, very friendly, and they had/have some really nice kits. 10 years from now I'm going to hate myself for not buying a bunch of their stuff.

I bought it from FAC of America a few months before they went out of business. They ran an ad on Gunbroker and started the bid at $80 and to my suprise no one else bidded on it and I won it for the lowest bid.But that was four years ago, before this site was created and the semi-auto MG34's and 42's became popular.
