Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a blueprint, diagram or straight on side shot of the MG42. The reason being that me and a couple of friends have decided to start making a pc game. My duty is to create the 3d models and I like my models to be as auntentic as possible, so what better place to ask than right here? :)

I've done some extensive searching on the web as well as these forums and that has netted me close to a hundred high res images of the different parts of the gun, but only two, not great blueprints/sideshots, namely these:

The importance of the side shot is that it's what I'll be modeling on top of in the 3d application. I could of course use measurements of the gun instead, but I thought that would be even harder to find and it would require quite a bit more work from my side.

The first one, I could clean up a bit in photoshop and it would work for my need, but the second image looks like it's taken of the poster the first one is based of so that would of course work out much better if it was larger. Seeing as I found the second image on these forums maybe someone has it or a similar image in high resolution? :)

Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the great references and information I've found here.

This is probably not the standard first poster post on these forums, but hopefully you can help me out. :)
