What does a 100, 000 rounds look like??? Ever wondered if someone was BS-ing and you didn't believe them when they said that they had a "100,000rds" in their garage?? ;-)
Well, the freight truck just dropped two pallets off today, and I thought you'd all enjoy a quick picture before it gets hauled off to storage tommorow.
Just a quick partial rundown.....there's 54,000 rds of Romo 8mm, 11,000 rds of Czech 54R, 12,000 rds of Ecu 8mm, 12,000 rds++ of Romo 7.62X25, 7200 rds of Yugo 8mm, 5,000 rds of SA and PMC 5.56 M193, some 5.45 and other assorted stuff.
Actual total count in that pile, all calibers, is 116,480 rds.
This goes to storage with the other 300,000 rds. That'll last for the next couple of MG shoots.

Now thats a lot of ammo! I expect this is for a group shoot,or your shoulder will be sore! I like all the ammo crates, you could start a side business selling them. ---bil

Where are you getting the Romo 8mm from? I used to buy from Interord but their website no longer lists it.

How do we know the boxes contain ammo and not baby food?
I have lots of empy boxes laying around.
If you really had that much ammo, it would not be setting around for your wife to see it

If you knew anything about how much baby formula costs, you'd know that enough baby formula to fill all those cases would be a lot more expensive than the ammo!! ;-)

I like to see a weekend supply stacked up! I always feel it is irresponsible to go to the range with just a few boxes of ammo, it sets a bad example.

Okay, Let's try this again. What kind of "help" were you thinking I should provide. In all seriousness, what do you want to know? I'll answer any legitimate question you want.
There, does that sound better?

It's a wonderful thing that you showed all of us your ammo supply. But you shouldn't be surprised by the reaction that you have received. Some of us do sacrifice to buy ammo when we can. Others don't. That's human nature.
Personally I don't care how much ammo you have stocked up. As far as I'm concerned that's your business, not any of mine. And it's a wonderful thing that you have mg's to shoot it out of. Some people would love to have one, but they have families to support and other priorities. Some of us consider ourselves just damn fortunate to have a semi auto SA-42. And some us have had the extreme pleasure of actually building one and not buying it off the shelf, as it were.
Soooo, if you didn't like some of the responses, you shouldn't have posted pictures of your stash.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going down to the basement and stare at my ammo goodness of spam cans and crates and boxes and other various and sundry assorted ammo goodies. Come to think of it I don't have to go that far. I'm surrounded by ammo and AK mags and AR mags and M-1 enbloc clips within reach of where I sit. And loaded MG-42 belts residing on the bookshelf.
I feel like the 600. Ammo to the left of him, ammo to the right of him.
Sorry guys, it's been a long day.

Did I miss something? Was there a page in between 1 and 2 where someone said something bad?All I saw was compliments and some envious joking around.I have nowhere near the supply of stuff TactAdv has,but I like to post pics once in a while.I get my balls busted for it,but I take it in the way it way meant-good natured.I really dont think anyone was blaming you for the world ammo shortage.I am glad you have this and had the foresight to stock up.I will take your advice as someone in the business and stock up,too. But if anyone has any light-hearted or joking remarks,I will try to refrain from FLAMING them, and return a polite thank you.Mr.Rogers says it's nice to be nice! Thank you. ---bil

"what kind of help" ....... will I could use some help cleaning out the garage.
I need to stock up on ammo and will need the room.
I agree with tactadv, if you see stuff, buy it "now", do not ASS-U-ME it will always be there.
A couple years ago, I got .308 barrels for $25 each and 8mm barrels for $35 each.
My "friends" ask me why did I spend all that money?
Also, years ago when IMA had small parts for the MG-42, I bought all they had and did not ask how much.
My biggest fear is when I die, that my mistress/girl friend/wife/mother throws away all those small greasy parts that I spend a small forture on
Will this weekend it is off to WalMart to stockup on ammo.
