Thanks . It was my first BIG gun and is a very early deac. Most have the barrel pinned to the receiver but this is not and still removable . The only problem is the upper pin for holding the stock on is missing so it flaps about a bit.

What's the story on the "green" one? The rest look great! :-P

How much does a de-activated MP44 go for in England? It's amazing they let you guys have complete and un-cut full-auto receivers ,but won't let you have live semi-auto's.

very nice collection. I always wanted a mp40. Never bought one when they were "cheap". Now I have regrets.

One of those FND BAR's are on the top of my list......but finding a receiver seems to be the major block.

Is that a TT-33 pistol in the upper left? If so where did you get it.

BELTLEAD - MP44 over here will set you back in the region of $3600 and for that you will get a deactivated barrel and bolt plus the barrel will be pinned/welded to the receiver .

curtis375 - It was the second big gun I got. Got it from one of the gun auction sites over here, it was an impulse buy cost me £280 about 2 years ago. Its an unusual deac because the barrel is removable usually they are permanently attached. It makes a very satisfying noise when you dry fire it.

Just added up what I have spent on this lot If the other half even guesses half the ammount I am in deep sh@t. And I still want an MP44

Actually it make a lot of sense. The gun can be used for display purposes. Without a working barrel and bolt it is harmless. You can pick it up and usually cycle it.

BATFE demilling ruins it. You can't display the cut parts without most people saying you bought that pile of junk. The European demils at least look like the real guns because they are.

I would rather have the right to own a working gun though. I can also turn the pile of 'junk' into a working semi-auto. So there is a tradeoff.

Yep, I was afraid of that.........first it was the RPK bought at a gun show.....then research on AK varieties.....then the Bren which brought me to the Weaponeer forum and I ordered a Bren kit......then the MG42 which brough me here.....now I'm looking for MG42 parts.......and my wallet get thinner all the while.

IT's fun though ~ and I did go shoot my RPK over the weekend.
